It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Tis the season to be jolly! This really is the most wonderful time of the year and we are definitely getting into the spirit. We had the tree up before Thanksgiving (which is never usually even allowed-by me) and have taken to listening to Christmas music quite often. I love every minute of it! The holidays were kicked off with a trip to my parents' for Thanksgiving. We celebrated my birthday the day before, and enjoyed family, friends, and delicious food on Turkey Day. We are lucky enough to be able to celebrate with both my family and Ryan's parents all in the same place. Conor enjoyed seeing LOTS of family and getting plenty of attention. He even tried some turkey. Like most things, he was indifferent.

Thanks to Sue we have a beautiful new, pre-lit tree. We decided since we have a bigger place that we could get a bigger tree and she happened to have one she wasn't using. We love it! She also suggested we get some little gun thing called the "Light Keeper Pro". I am a walking commercial for the thing and if you have trouble with lights-GET ONE. It's well worth the $18 to not have to hassle. You just plug the gun into a light socket of a light that is out, pull the trigger, and VOILA! the whole strand lights back up. AMAZING. Get one.

Conor sometimes looks at the tree, but doesn't really have much interest in heading toward it. He is not crawling, yet, but is so very close. He has rolled/scooted over to it and just pulls on a branch. We got him an ornament and he helped Ryan put it on the tree. Again, he was indifferent about the whole thing.

Aside from throwing himself forward so he sit himself back up, he is starting to clap and do patty cake. He loves to say "Dad" and "bob". Occasionally we can get him to say "baby". He's also into making a kiss noise that is absolutely hilarious. Today we spent the day switching his room with the guest room because his room was getting so cold at night (due to having 2 outside walls). Hopefully he's warmer now at night.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are enjoying the magical holiday season!
